ELA

  1. Listen to the Poem video your teachers created.  
  2. Watch the video.
  3. Watch the video again and pause after each teacher reads a poem and write the similes and metaphors on your chart (we will email the chart to you)
  4. Send it to your teacher when you are done.
  5. Write poems using similes and metaphors.  
  6.    READ INDEPENDENTLY FOR 20 MINUTES - Fill out your reading log (title and minutes) 

            Turn it in Sunday night or Monday morning.

Thursday Challenge

     Find of create your own symmetrical picture.  Draw, paint, design a picture that has symmetry.  You can share tomorrow for our Zoom meeting.

Challenge of the Day: 

Be CREATIVE!!!  Draw an abstract picture using intersecting, parallel  perpendicular lines, vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines.   

Thursday Challenge

Compare yourself to a Colonial Child.  Create a Venn Diagram and then write about how you are similar and different.  Just send your teacher your compare/contrast writing.

Wednesday Challenge

     1.  Find 5 things that are magnetic in your house. 

     2. Make a poster displaying these things.  Use cut out magazines, draw, take pictures...be creative.  Make sure you label each object you found. 

     3. Have your parent take a picture and send it either Remind or email to your teacher. 

Tuesday Challenge

     Write poems about spring! 

          Acrostic 

          Couplets 

          5 Senses 

     Any type of poem would be wonderful!  Send them to your teacher through email or remind.
