Dear KPS Families,

I hope everyone had a great week. Please see this week’s update below. Enjoy your weekend!

Halloween Parade 2026:  Last year’s Halloween Parade was a huge success – we are thrilled to have it back for the third year! The parade will take place on Friday, October 30st, at 2:30 PM this year. We are swapping times each year with KES to avoid parking congestion. We invite parents/families to stand in the parking lot and take pictures as students walk across the sidewalk. The parade should last approximately 25 minutes. If you plan on picking your student up after the parade, please still use School Dismissal Manager to report the pick-up. The parade will finish right before dismissal, so please pick up your student from the cafeteria at 3:10 PM. If you have to pick up your student before then, please understand that students must return to their classrooms following the parade and we will call them down for pick-up from there.  Please do not park in bus spots. Over the summer, Kent Elementary School's parking lot was expanded, so there should be additional spots up there. Thank you for understanding. We encourage creative costumes, but students must refrain from wearing masks or disguising their faces. Weapons of any kind or costume props that can hurt or injure someone are prohibited. Inflatable costumes are also prohibited. If you choose for your child not to participate, please contact their teacher. We will have alternate activities available in the library. This will still be a regular, full school day.   We look forward to the event!

Trunk or Treat Parent-Teacher Conferences 12/10 - 12/11:

Kent Primary School values the partnership between families and our staff. We look forward to meeting with you during our upcoming parent-teacher conferences.

Kent Primary School Parent-Teacher Conference Dates:

December 10th: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM, 6:00 – 7:30 PM

December 11th: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM

This year, we strongly encourage parents and guardians to attend conferences in person whenever possible. Meeting face-to-face provides a meaningful opportunity to build relationships, discuss your child’s progress, and work collaboratively with the educators who support your child each day.

We also recognize that work schedules, transportation, family responsibilities, and other circumstances may make an in-person meeting difficult. For families who are unable to attend in person, a virtual conference option will be available.

When scheduling your conference, please select an in-person appointment whenever possible. If you need a virtual option, please indicate that request when you schedule or contact your child’s teacher directly so appropriate arrangements can be made.

Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to your child’s learning and success. We look forward to seeing you.
