District-Wide Emergency Management Drill on 10/9/26: On Friday, October 9th, 2026, we will hold a districtwide Emergency Early Dismissal Drill, which means we will dismiss students 15 minutes before our regularly scheduled dismissal time. Pick-ups will begin at 3:00 PM in the cafeteria. The cut-off to put pick-ups in School Dismissal Messenger is 2:00 PM on this day. The rest of students will be dismissed to their buses by 3:15 PM (example: if your child usually gets off the bus at 4:15 PM, please expect them at 4:00 PM on this day).

The New York State Education Department requires school districts to hold one such Emergency Early Dismissal a year in order to test districtwide evacuation procedures in case of emergency.

Parent-Teacher Conferences 12/10 - 12/11:

Kent Primary School values the partnership between families and our staff. We look forward to meeting with you during our upcoming parent-teacher conferences.

Kent Primary School Parent-Teacher Conference Dates:

December 10th: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM, 6:00 – 7:30 PM

December 11th: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM

This year, we strongly encourage parents and guardians to attend conferences in person whenever possible. Meeting face-to-face provides a meaningful opportunity to build relationships, discuss your child’s progress, and work collaboratively with the educators who support your child each day.

We also recognize that work schedules, transportation, family responsibilities, and other circumstances may make an in-person meeting difficult. For families who are unable to attend in person, a virtual conference option will be available.

When scheduling your conference, please select an in-person appointment whenever possible. If you need a virtual option, please indicate that request when you schedule or contact your child’s teacher directly so appropriate arrangements can be made.

Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to your child’s learning and success. We look forward to seeing you.

We All Belong at KPS Wall: Thank you to KPS Art Teacher, Mrs. Bell, and all the students for their contributions to our “We All Belong at KPS” wall.
