Board of Education meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. but are expected to propose an immediate entry into 
Executive Session with a 30-minute limit. The public portion of all meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. 

Note: Regular Board of Education Meetings (not committee meetings) are livestreamed on the Board of Ed page of the district website. Community members who wish to speak during Board of Education meetings are asked to sign up in advance.  

FLU CLINICS
The Putnam County Department of Health is offering three flu vaccination clinics this fall: Monday, September 28; Wednesday,
October 7; and Monday, October 19. See the attached flyers for location and other details.

4-H CLUB 
Registration is open for the 4-H Clubs in Putnam County. Kids from ages 5 and up can join a club and learn about chickens, horses, the environment, needle craft and more. See attached Flyer

PATTERSON LIBRARY
ABC Club  Tuesday, 9/22 @ 2 PM for ages 3-5. Every Tuesday we will learn about a new letter and test our writing and literacy skills.
The Adventure Club - Wednesday, 9/23 @ 4:30 PM for ages 8-12. Hands-on activities, challenges, games, creativity, and opportunities to build friendships.
Friday Night Film Club: The Sixth Sense - Friday, 10/2 @ 5 PM for ages 12-19.
Saturday Story Time - Saturday, 10/3 @ 11 AM for ages 2-5.
Teen Leadership Council - Tuesday, 10/6 @ 4 PM for ages 12-19. Earn community service hours, plan programs for your peers and mentor younger kids in children’s programs. Pizza will be served at all meetings.
Homeschool Hangout: Open Art - Friday, 10/9 @ 2 PM for ages 5 and up.
Teen Takeover: Social Media Safety - Tuesday, 10/20 @ 4 PM for ages 12-19.  Learn how to use the Internet safely and avoid internet trolls so you can surf the web with confidence!

Story, craft & Snack: for ages 5 and up. "A Rescue Feast"- September 21 at 1:00 pm- a children's program with local author Kathryn LaCombe. Read a story, do a craft and make a snack - for children ages 5 & up.

Understanding NY's 529 Join via Zoom on October 1, 6 p.m., for a practical introduction to NY’s 529 College Savings Program Direct Plan. Steven Tommasone of Ascensus Government Savings will explain how the plan works, its potential tax advantages, and the simple, flexible ways families can contribute, including payroll direct deposit and transfers from a checking account. Also discover how savings may be used for more than a traditional four-year college, including eligible K–12 expenses, trade and vocational schools, and registered apprenticeship programs. PUTNAM COUNTY YOUTH BUREAU 

The Anchor of Hope, a confidential educational program for children ages 5–16 who have a 
parent or family member struggling with alcoholism or other drug dependencies, offers a free fall program. 
Thursdays, October 15, 22, 29, November 5, 12, 19, December 3, 10, from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at the Putnam County Youth Bureau.  See attached flyer.

PATTERSON RECREATION DEPARTMENT
Patterson Recreation Preschool:  Children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old (do not have to be fully potty trained, but close to it) Monday - Friday 9:00am to 12:00pm STARTING: September 2nd. To supplement your child's day, we have also added a new Lunch Bunch program for the 2026/2027 school year (separate registration required for Lunch Bunch). CARMEL UNITED SOCCER
Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Recreational Soccer Registration is open. For players from 3 years old through 13 years old (players born between 2013-2023. When you register for the Fall, you automatically receive the Spring season with it. All information is posted on the Recreational Program Page at carmelsoccer.com.

PAWLING YOUTH HOCKEY

CAMP HERRLICH 
Before and After School Programs at Camp Herrlich, admission is rolling! Our award winning programs run for all the days school is open, including half days. We open at 6:30am, close at 6:30pm, and include tons of great activities, time for homework, clubs, and so much more on our beautiful property.
